Installation Configurator

Welcome to the Utopia installation Configurator

This guide will help you setup the files required for installation. Utopia can be installed using Docker containers or within a Kubernettes cluster. Please check out the utopia university for more information on how to install docker and Kubernettes and their requirements. This configurator will help you get the files to start the installation of the product in your environment. Welcome to the Utopia Installation configurator. You can use this form to assist in configurating the correct files required for installation. Please follow the prompts to help setup your files, alternatively you can simply download a "blank" file by clicking the download button at the end of the guide.

Will you be installing in Docker Compose or Kubernettes?
Select which installation method you are using, we would recommend Kubernettes for production work loads.
Database Selection
Database Selection Utopia uses 4 different database types, 3 are compulsory: MongoDB, MySQL and Redis S3 style Object Storage is used for archiving data from Maintenance processes, this is optional. Two installation options are available:

1.      You can choose the app to install the databases, which will spin them up within the application itself.
2.      You can provide your own databases, this is recommended for large enterprise applications.

If you have chosen option 1 then please take note that Volume installation is carried out to identify where the kube should store the database data. Most cloud providers will automatically create  volume, we just have to tell them which storageClass to use. In some cases we will need to install the volume itself, each hosting provider will be different. Please find this out from your service provider.

Your own database is required for this. S3 will allow for Maintenance tasks to be active as well as Large File Processing
SMTP Server
Utopia uses emails to communicate to users and send out notifications and reports. Please input your details here, this is compulsory.
Adobe API O-Auth Server-to-Server Credentials
Certain connectors in Utopia use the Adobe – PDF Service API to read PDF documents. If you plan on using this function you will need to include your API details here.
Ingress Naming Convention
When Utopia gets installed in kubernettes we install an ingress controller and a LoadBalancer. Using the below naming conventions you will be able to access these externally through your domain. Please ensure you use an active domain of yours in the below.
